Madingley Hall and Gardens is a wedding venue like no other. With the option of either an outdoor ceremony within the walled rose garden or an indoor ceremony within one of the opulent Hall spaces. Beautifully manicured lawns, a hazel arch, lake backdrops as well as lush wild meadows in the summer there is the perfect photo spot for everyone.

Your ceremony

Couples can choose to get married in a civil ceremony in the walled garden, a secluded area of the grounds with beautifully planted borders, a hazel arch and stunning roses, or in the Saloon which accommodates up to 100 guests. For slightly smaller groups you can choose the Hickson and step straight out onto the terrace on a beautiful sunny day holding up to 50 guests or the Stuart, an intimate library feel, accommodating up to 30 guests.

Should you wish to attend a religious ceremony, Madingley Church is situated within the grounds of the Hall.

The reception and wedding breakfast

Step out onto the North lawn and terrace to start the festivities with your friends and family, enjoying a refreshing pimms or glass of fizz, canapes circulating and laughter of guests enjoying the garden games.

Depending on the location of your ceremony and the size of your party, each of these spaces can be used for your wedding breakfast as well as the Dining Hall, our largest space.

We can offer a 3 course sit down meal, something more relaxed such as a BBQ and a selection of evening treats to keep your guests well fueled for the dance floor. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring a food truck in from our approved supplier list.

The Party

We encourage you to dance the night away with a band or DJ within the Dining Hall with an evening capacity of 150 guests.

We believe that each couple should have the flexibility to create their dream wedding and offer flexibility within our packages to allow this.

Can we get married at Madingley Hall?

Yes, we are licenced both internally and externally for civil ceremonies.

Can we bring our own caterer?

Unfortunately we don’t offer external caterers within the Hall, however, we do offer a limited number of DIY weddings in which you can bring in a marquee and use external caterers. These are required to be on our approved supplier list.

What time does the party finish?

Last orders at 11:30pm
Bar closes at 11:45pm
Music off and guests to depart at midnight.

What is the maximum capacity?

100 guests for a ceremony in the Saloon
100 guests for a wedding breakfast in the Dining Hall
150 evening guests
